Survived by wife, Claudia; mother of his children, Kathleen; children, Julianna Kay, John Kay III, Sarah Gomes, Susan Hojou, Anthony Kay, Andrew Kay, Paul Kay, Daniel Kay and Mary Rueda Izaguirre.
