The crew of the USS Monitor relaxes on the deck of the Civil War ironclad at James River, Va., in this undated photo by James F. Gibson. The Monitor, whose coral-encrusted turret was raised last week from the floor of the Atlantic, sank during a storm in 1862.
A portion of the human remains found in the turret have been sent to the Army's Central Identification Laboratory, Hawaii, for identification.
