Advertiser Staff

Cyanotech Corp., the Big Island maker of BioAstin and other products from microalgae, reported a net loss of $785,000, or 5 cents per share, in the three months to June 30.

That compared with a net loss of $413,000, or 2 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

The Kailua-Kona-based company said net sales were $2.03 million, down from $2.31. million a year ago.

The company said income was down because of a drop in sales of its Spirulina powder.
