Services for DARA REI ONISHI, a graduate student and administrative assistant to city Managing Director Ben Lee, will be held Monday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Onishi was killed Aug. 9 when a 5-ton boulder crashed through the wall of her home on Henry Street in Nu'uanu, hitting her as she slept. She was 26. See story.

MEREDITH KNOX GARDNER, an Army code-breaker whose work on encrypted KGB messages to and from Moscow during and after World War II led to the exposure of Soviet agents who spied on the U.S. atomic bomb project, has died at 89. See story.

YOLANDA MARIE ROBINSON ADAMS, 46, of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneo'he, died Aug. 10, 2002. Born in Hollywood, Calif. A teacher at Windward Christian Academy, Kane'ohe. Survived by husband, Col. Paul Adams; children, Joy, Heather and Stephen; her mother, four sisters and three brothers. Celebration of life 7:30 p.m. today at the Marine Corps Base Chapel. Casual or aloha attire. WILLIAM CARVALHO SR., 87, of Honolulu, died Aug. 6, 2002. Born in Honolulu. Retired mason for the Public Works Center.
