Suspects sought in Kalihi bar brawl

Police are seeking suspects connected with a brawl outside a Kalihi bar Saturday that culminated in shootings, stabbings and an assault with a baseball bat.

The fight started at Tondo Tondo, 746 Kohou St., at 2:15 a.m. and spilled out to the front of the club, police said.

The club manager tried to intervene, police said, and was hit with the bat. Police later identified a 21-year-old man suspected of that assault and arrested him.

Two other victims were stabbed in the back, police said, and two suffered gunshot wounds to their hands.

Man arraigned in sexual assault

A 22-year-old Pearl Harbor man was arraigned yesterday, accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl he met through the Internet.

Bail was set at $20,000 for Tomasz Kowalczuk, charged Sunday with first-degree sexual assault. He allegedly had sex with the victim on several occasions in the Wai'anae area.
