Art exhibit opens at Columbia Inn
Members of the Honolulu Waldorf School Class of 2002 will unveil an exhibit of paintings, "Mohala Pua (Unfolding Blossoms), at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Columbia Inn, 3221 Wai'alae Ave. in Kaimuki. Works were created under the tutelage of artist and writer Van James.
Temari to screen new artists for fair
Temari, the Center for Asian and Pacific Arts, is holding a screening for new artists for its 20th annual Trash & Treasure Craft Fair at 9 a.m. Sunday. Artists must bring 5 to 7 priced samples of their work to McKinley High School cafeteria by 9 a.m (8 a.m. for Temari members).

Irvine, Koa'uka in Labor Day bash
Recording artists Ilona Irvine and Koa'uka are co-billed to appear in the Labor Day Bash Sept. 1 at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel. The show will be poolside at the Lava Rock stage. Koa'uka will perform from 4 to 6:45 p.m., with Irvine scheduled to sing from 7 to 9:45 p.m. There is no cover charge. Cocktail and pupu service will be available.
