UH football team names captains

UH coach June Jones made the announcement at the end of this morning's practice.
Jones allowed the players to choose captains for offense and defense. Tinoisamoa and Brown finished in a tie for first, according to Jones, "and I decided to make them both captains."
Brown, a fifth-year senior from Damien Memorial High School, is the Warriors' strongest player. Last month, he bench pressed 505 pounds, a team record. He already has been invited to play in the Hula Bowl and East-West Shrine Game.
Tinoisamoa begins his senior season with the Warriors. Because he entered UH as a partial academic qualifier in 1999 he was not allowed to play that season Tinoisamoa must receive his bachelor's degree by next August to be eligible to play in 2003 as a fifth-year senior. Tinoisamoa, who is on track to graduate by the deadline, has indicated he would like to remain at UH for another season. But that might change after this season; he is regarded as one of the nation's top outside linebackers. Tinoisamoa, who was raised in San Diego, has been invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game.
Manuwai is a candidate for the Outland Trophy as the nation's top lineman. A fourth-year senior from Farrington High, Manuwai has bench pressed 500 pounds. Manuwai has been invited to play in the East West Shrine Game, Hula Bowl and Senior Bowl. Mel Kiper Jr., who analyzes the National Football League draft for ESPN, ranks Manuwai as the nation's best prospect at offensive guard.
