DAVID K.S. EUM, 72, of Lompoc, Calif., died June 13, 2002. Born in Waipahu. Retired U.S. Air Force major. Survived by wife, Akiko; sons, Timothy, John, James and David; daughters, Esther, Rachel, Sarah and Mary; nine grandchildren. Service held at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. GEORGE MASASHI FUJIKAWA, 85, of Honolulu, died Aug. 22, 2002. Born in Lahaina, Maui. A retired insurance agent for Standard and Bishop Insurance. Survived by wife, Janet; sons, George Fujikawa, Ross and Lance Hoopai; daughter, Dyane Jarman; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Nobu and Yukio; sister, Florence Hasegawa. VIOLET TAKEKO OKA, 75, of Honolulu, died Aug. 25, 2002. Born in Honolulu. A homemaker. WINIFRED TOM O'ROURKE, 94, of Kane'ohe, died Aug. 22, 2002. Born in Honolulu. A retired public school teacher. Survived by daughters, Frances Fuller and Jean Borges; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Tom; sisters, Mildred Young and Edna Ching. PAUL HARUHIKO SHIMABUKURO, 89, of Kailua, died Aug. 27, 2002. Born in Kekaha, Hawai'i. Retired baker for Holsum Bakery. Survived by wife, Gladys; son, Dean; daughter, Wanda Miyashiro; five grandchildren; great-grandchild; sisters, Tsuruko Taba, Kameyo Nakamura, Tomiko Uchima and Helen Harada. DOUGLAS JAMES WHITTINGHAM SR., 85, of Honolulu, died Aug. 25, 2002. Born in San Francisco, Calif. A captain for Aloha Airlines for 23 years.
