CARL BUCKY, 81, of Honolulu, died Aug. 28, 2002. Born in Hamburg, Germany. He was the proprietor of Hildgund Jewelry, one of the largest jewelry store chains in the Islands. Past president of the Hawaii Jewelers Association. Active with Hawai'i Theater for Youth. Survived by wife, Hildgund; sons, Paul and Bruce; granddaughter, Molly; stepchildren, Malulani, Laola and Alan; step-grandchildren, Kalei, Keaka and Samantha. IDA KOERTE DAR, 80, of Hanama'ulu, Kaua'i, died Aug. 28, 2002. Born in Lihu'e, Kaua'i. A laundry attendant with Kauai Surf Hotel. ROSE MADEIRA KAHIKINA, 85, of Wahiawa, died Aug. 25, 2002. Born in Kohala, Hawai'i. A member of Word of Life Church. PATERNO S. PENCERGA SR., 89, of Pa'ia, Maui, died Aug. 28, 2002. Born in Calape Bohol, Philippines. A crew chief at Hawaii Commercial & Sugar Company. A banjo and mandolin player with several bands. Survived by wife, Ramona; son, Paterno Jr.; daughters, Evelyn Pencerga, Cyrilla Pascual and Juliette Rodrigues; sisters, Cirila Jucoy and Majdalina Mendania; eight grandchildren. VIRGINIA H. "GINNY" RICHARDSON, 61, of Honolulu, died Aug. 23, 2002. Born in San Diego, Calif. Retired academic librarian with University of Hawai'i-Manoa. Survived by sisters, Eleanor Tucker and Ransom Carver; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorial gathering was held Thursday at the U.H. library. Inurnment was at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

ELEANOR H. ROBERSON, 79, of Kailua, died Aug. 24, 2002. Born in Glendale, Calif. A deaconess at Faith Baptist Church in Kailua. Survived by husband, Edward; son, James; daughter, Diane Knott; three grandchildren. Memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday at Faith Baptist Church. No flowers. Casual attire. ALLEN GLEN ROWLAND, 53, of Kea'au, Hawai'i, died Aug. 8, 2002. Born in Culver City, Calif. Owner of Paradise West Cafe in Pahoa. Creator of Kea'au Gingermoon Chocolate Cookies. Voice toning teacher in Paradise Park. Survived by daughter, Molly; parents, Robert and Gina; brother, Bob; sisters, Dianna Rowland and Candace Mann.
