Silliness removed from Frazier's UH contract
Thankfully, the University of Hawai'i has seen the wisdom of dropping a provision from Herman Frazier's contract that would have paid the athletic director $5,000 for each year that the athletic department did not violate NCAA rules in a major way.
Apparently, the clause in that three-year agreement failed UH President Evan Dobelle's common-sense test. It certainly flunked ours.
As a rule, one should be rewarded for doing something rather than for not doing something.
