The discussion, "The Evolution of Hawaiian Real Estate," will trace the changes from when land ownership was held in common for the common good, through the Great Mahele, which, in 1848, forever changed the concept of land ownership in the Islands i and gave land ownership a place in the Native Hawaiian Sovereignty Movement. The address, "WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE CLEAN WATER ACT," will be delivered by June Harrigan-Lum, environmental scientist and manager of the state Department of Health's Environmental Planning Office.
