Biotech company to be honored

Hawai'i Biotechnology Group Inc., a privately held, local biopharmaceutical company engaged in research and development of human pharmaceuticals, will be honored by the Hawai'i Venture Capital Association at the group's luncheon program Thursday.

The group will award its third annual "Venture Capital Deal of the Year" award to the company at the luncheon meeting, from 11:30 a.m. registration to 1:30 p.m., at The Plaza Club, at Pioneer Plaza. Speaking will be David Watumull, the company president.
