UH player Correa bound for Hula Bowl

Advertiser Staff

University of Hawai'i football player La'anui Correa has been invited to play in the Maui Hula Bowl in February, team officials announced today.

Correa, a senior defensive end from St. Louis School, has started 12 games this season. He attended Nevada-Las Vegas as a freshman in 1998 before transferring to UH.

Earlier, right guard Vince Manuwai, center Lui Fuata, linebacker Chris Brown and safety Sean Butts were invited to play in the all-star game for college seniors.

Correa was not made available to the media this morning. According to team rules, UH football players are not allowed to speak to reporters in the two days leading to game day.
