H-1 accident disrupts traffic

A multi-car accident fronting Leeward Community College was backing up traffic mid-day in the H-1 Freeway's east-bound lanes near the Waiawa Road overpass.Police first received a call on the accident at 11:15 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported.
Several cars were involved, though the exact number of vehicles was not immediately available.
All east-bound lanes were closed for a while, but Pearl City police said the backup should be cleared by about 1:30 p.m. and should not disrupt traffic to the University of Hawai'i football game at the Aloha Stadium today.
