Punk bands to flood Pipeline Cafe

But really, how could anyone calling himself or herself a connoisseur of good music pass up an opportunity to see a band with enough cutting-edge creativity and all right, I'll say it cojones to conjure up aliases for its lineup like Justin Sane, Pat Thetic and (my personal favorite) # 2?
That's the question you'll have to ask yourself at the water cooler Monday if you miss Anti-Flag (that's the foursome claiming # 2) or any of the other punk bands scheduled to thrash at tomorrow's third annual Punk on a Rock concert at the Pipeline Cafe. After flirting with the notion in 2001, organizers of this year's event successfully persuaded the folks at Vans Triple Crown of Surfing to sanction it as an "official event" of the winter surf fest.
Joining local bands 86 List and Extra Stout will be four punk bands all the way from the Mainland. Oooooh!
After spending an entire afternoon listening to their CDs, here are some haiku primers for each band.
Bouncing Souls
Uh, this is pop punk.
These guys were, like, here last year.
"Punk In Vegas" rawks!
Anti-Flag
Politics and punk.
U.S. taxes "fund terror ...
... terror terror," dude!
One Man Army
Green Day signed 'em up.
Wait, isn't this pop punk, too?
Punk Jimmy Eat World.
Drowning Adam
Can't hear the singer.
Who brought in the cello player?
Bring back Guttermouth!
