St. Louis School seniors Bobby George and Shane Butcher connected for 220 yards and three touchdowns through the air last night to lift the East squad to a 28-7 victory over the West in the Hawai'i Union Builders Football Classic at Aloha Stadium.

The game, featuring senior all-stars from O'ahu high schools, was played before 2,225 fans.

George completed 7 of 8 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns and was named the East's Most Valuable Player on offense. The East's defensive MVP was Kailua linebacker Vili Fonokalafi.

The West's MVPs were Nanakuli fullback Ikaika Asinsin on offense and Kamehameha defensive end Nick Soo on defense.

Asinsin completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Campbell's Ali'i Basham on a halfback option play to help give the West a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

Butcher caught a 57-yard scoring pass from George three plays later to help the East tie it at 7. After McKinley's Jacob Talamoa recovered a fumble to give the East possession, George and Butcher connected on an 83-yard touchdown pass with 1:21 to go in the quarter.

George and Butcher connected again on the second play of the second half, another 57-yard scoring pass. The East's final touchdown came early in the fourth quarter when Kaimuki's Raymond Taumalolo recovered teammate George's fumble in the end zone.
