Shannon Leigh Doughton, daughter of Maureen M. Doughton of Honolulu, and Roy Yet Sun Kam, son of Solomon K. F. Kam and Sally Kam of Honolulu, were married July 3 at the Westin Maui Resort. The bride (Wilkes University bachelor's), now Shannon Leigh Kam, formerly of Plains, Pa., is a high-school chemistry teacher. The groom (University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's) is a database manager. They live in Honolulu.

Joyce Cabreros Salangsang, daughter of Josefino and Josefa Salangsang of Kapolei, and Joel Laciste Acob, son of Norma Acob of Honolulu and the late Victoriano Acob, were married Aug. 24 at St. Jude Catholic Church. The reception followed at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The bride (1991 Moanalua High), now Joyce Cabreros Salangsang Acob, is a hair stylist. The groom (1991 Farrington High) is an air-conditioning technician. Their child is Alyssa Jacelyn Salangsang Acob, 7. The Acobs live in Kapolei.
