Missing fisherman's body recovered

The body of a 74-year-old man who was reported missing last night was recovered today about 500 yards offshore of Kahala beach. The man regularly fished in the area.He was reported missing last night by family when he failed to return at 6:30 p.m. Firefighters searched from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. and resumed searching at 7 a.m. today. The body was spotted offshore by the Fire Department's helicopter shortly before 8 a.m., HFD spokesman Capt. Richard Soo said.
