Man arrested in Internet sex case

A 29-year-old Honolulu man was arrested this week under a law that prohibits using the Internet to target children for sexual activity.

The man, whose name was not released, was arrested Tuesday by agents with the Hawai'i Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He was the third person arrested on O'ahu in six weeks on suspicion of violating the law against the electronic enticement of a child.

The attorney general's office said the man was arrested in an undercover operation after he arrived at a meeting place, thinking he was meeting a 13-year-old girl to have sex.
