Four students win essay contest

Four students have been selected as winners of the second annual Drinking and Driving Essay Contest sponsored by the Honolulu Association of Insurance Women.
The purpose of the contest is to help make students aware of the consequences of drinking and driving.
The winners are:
- Mollie Scheib, Moanalua High School, for "The Dare of Death."
- Vincent Loiseleur, Moanalua High School, for "Why Me?"
- LeeAnn Villa, James Campbell High School, for "The Broken Promise."
- Herberona Toeaina, James Campbell High School, for "Friends Tragedy."
Each student receives a certificate of achievement and a $50 check from the association.
The contest is open to all public high schools. The nonprofit group received 48 essays this year, and hopes to see even more participation next year.
