SATURDAY SCOOPS
Keiki craft project makes for angelic last-minute gift

Advertiser Staff

Looking for a holiday craft project to make with your preschooler? Try these easy-to-make card angels as a last-minute present for tutu or as a table decoration. You need: 8- by 8-inch gold, silver or colored card, not too stiff; stick-on stars, pencil, ruler and felt tip pin.

On the back of the card, draw a 6-inch circle with a compass or around a plate; cut out. Divide/draw into four quarters as in a clock: 12, 3, 6 and 9.

In the center, use a quarter to draw the head.

With top side facing, cut a slit from 12 down to head and around the head, leaving it attached above 6 about half an inch (this is the "neck" of the angel).

From 3 cut a slit 1 1/2 inches only toward head. rom head cut a slit 1› inches toward 9.

Make the wings by inserting the 12 to 3 segment into the slit of the 9 to 12.

Draw in your angel's face and decorate wings with stars, stickers, or your angel's Christmas message.
