Word of Life Christian Center's new production, "The Christmas Dream," takes to the stage beginning tonight at the center, 544 Queen St.

The two-hour production features a cast of 15 actors; the total cast and crew numbers 230.

"Each Christmas and Easter, we do a major production for our entire community and hold it over several nights to accommodate the large attendance," said Art Sepúlveda, senior pastor of Word of Life.

Sepúlveda said the production ties into the Word of Life mission: "to redeem the art for the glory of God, in order to reach our community with a relevant, life-giving message through the use of multi-media and creative arts.

"Our ultimate goal is to share that God loves us unconditionally and came to give us life as Jesus said in John 3:3, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot be the kingdom of God," Sepúlveda said.

Showtimes for the free show are 7 p.m. today, 6 p.m. tomorrow, 7 p.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Christmas Day.

There is free parking on the corner of South and Queen streets. Free Christmas-themed childcare will be provided for those 12 and younger.

"Word of Life is all about 'reaching people and touching lives,' " the pastor added, "by helping them to grow through Christian values and fulfill their God-given destiny. We are a church who welcomes all people of all ages. We are committed to serve our community to help develop the whole person, personally and spiritually by building a strong foundation on the word of God, which will help them live a successful and fulfilling life."
