• "The Gift of BethLehem," the annual Christmas event of "living" scenes of the birth of Christ (the holy family, strolling shepherds, caroling angels, Eastern kings and live sheep and donkeys, etc.), 6-9 p.m., front lawn of Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St. 941-0957.

• "Unto Us A King Is Born: A Yuletide Musical Event," with carols and music by the Kawaiaha'o Church Choir, Kawaiaha'o Bell Ringers, Na Keiki O Kawaiaha'o, Hawai'i Youth Opera Chorus and Kawaiolaonapukanileo Vocal Ensemble, and guest vocalist-dancer duo Joe and Shirley Recca, 7 p.m., Kawaiaha'o Church, 957 Punchbowl St. 532-1260.

• "The Christmas Gift of Life," a theatrical production sponsored by Antioch Providence Ministries, 7 p.m., Kaimuki High theater, 2705 Kaimuki Ave. 391-3770.

• "Bethlehem," a re-enactment of the Biblical town featuring more than 200 actors, live animals, special effects and a dramatization of the first Christmas; dramatic performances start at 7 p.m. today and tomorrow, Leeward Community Church, 1860 Komo Mai Drive, Pearl City. Visitors advised to arrive 30 minutes before performances. 456-1340.


• Labyrinth Walk, a meditation aid modeled after the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral in France, 8 a.m.-noon, St. Andrew's Cathedral, Davies Hall, Queen Emma Square. 524-2822, ext. 250.

• "Gift of Music," with the Central Union Church Soloists performing songs of the season, 8:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St. 941-0957.

• "A Central Celebration of Christmas," a musical narrative with traditional Christmas carols featuring more than 25 singers and musicians, 7 p.m., Central Baptist Church, 1217 Nehoa St., Makiki. 538-6833.


• Kaimuki Christian Church presents candlelight services with Christmas music, dance and drama at 5 p.m. with children's musical drama, and at 7 and 11 p.m., Kaimuki Christian Church, 1117 Koko Head Ave. 735-1771.
