Weekly Honors

TAJIA ACIERTO

Kapolei softball

Pitched a complete game and went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 6-2 victory over Leilehua.

AKAMU AKI

Baldwin basketball

Scored a game-high 24 points in the Bears' 55-45 victory over Pearl City, then had a game-high 20 points in a 59-41 loss to Montepaschi (Siena, Italy) at the Iolani Prep Classic.

Lyn Bolo

Lana'i softball

Went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and four RBIs, scoring twice during the first game of a doubleheader against Moloka'i, then went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs and a run scored helping Lana'i with two victories over Moloka'i, 11-10 and 8-2.

Jerri Fauatea

Lana'i softball

Sophomore right-hander pitched two complete games on Saturday striking out a total of 18 batters with doubleheader victories over Moloka'i 11-10, 8-2. She also went 5-for-7 at the plate with a double, triple, two walks, four runs and six RBIs for the day.

CAROLYN FISHER

Hawai'i Baptist/Sacred Hearts/St. Francis softball

Pitched a three-hitter and went 3-for-4 in an 8-1 victory over Mid-Pacific, and also went 3-for-3 in a 5-1 win over Maryknoll.

TRACY KANE

Wai'anae softball

Pitched a complete game and struck out five, and had two RBIs including the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning in the Seariders' 4-3 victory over Kapolei.

DERRICK LOW

Iolani basketball

Scored 16 points in a victory over Baldwin, 13 points in a 58-40 loss to nationally ranked Fairfax (Los Angeles), 16 points in a 65-51 win over Lincoln (Portland) and 10 points in a 34-31 victory for fifth place over Vincent (Milwaukee) at the Iolani Prep Classic.

Went 3-for-4 with a triple and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning in the Seariders' 4-3 victory over Kapolei.

ANITA MANUMA

HBA/SA/SF softball

Pitched a three-hitter, with eight strikeouts and one walk, and went 2-for-4 with a home run in a 5-1 victory over Maryknoll. Also went 2-for-4 with a triple in a win over Mid-Pacific.

ROCKY OTSUKA

Campbell soccer

Center-midfielder scored three goals in a 5-0 victory over Leilehua, helping the Sabers preserve their third straight shutout in a 0-0 tie against Pearl City.

ALEXIS SAN NICOLAS

Leilehua softball

Pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double in the Mules' 3-2 victory over Nanakuli.

SHAUNSEY-BLAINE SAITO

Senior sweeper scored his first career goal in a 5-0 victory over Leilehua and was a key force in helping the Sabers preserve their third straight shutout in a 0-0 tie against Pearl City.

Pitched a one-hitter, hit a triple and scored the game's only run in a victory over Mid-Pacific.
