Early-morning crashes injure four
The teenage driver of a pickup truck was in critical condition last night after an early-morning crash yesterday on the H-2 Freeway in Waipi'o.
Police traffic investigators said speed might have been a factor in the 4:04 a.m. crash that injured three men. The 19-year-old driver of the Mazda pickup overshot the Wai'anae off-ramp, sending the truck up an embankment, where it collided with a utility pole.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle. The two 18-year-old men seated in the cab were treated and released at Queen's.
Alcohol might have been a factor in a separate, 5:27 a.m. crash in Makaha, police said. A pickup truck went off the road and ran through a fence at 85-175 Farrington Highway. The 24-year-old woman driving was in fair condition last night at Queen's.

Kevin Miller's bail was set at $25,000. He has been at O'ahu Community Correctional Center since Oct. 25, serving a 90-day sentence for a Family Court offense.
Miller was arrested Oct. 23 after police located a stolen car he was driving at Kapolei Shopping Center. The car had a shattered windshield with several bullet holes, police said. It was the same vehicle that ran a security checkpoint on Lagoon Drive, police said.
Tuesday's charges are connected to Miller's Oct. 23 arrest and the airport security incident, police said.
