Editorial board enjoys lively debates

 •  More attention to detail in the new year

Economic development, education and the hopes and aspirations of a new Republican administration at the State Capitol became the focus of a lively Advertiser Community Editorial Board that met with us in November and December.

Those who sat with us to develop editorial ideas and themes were:

John Agsalud Dan Berman

Bev Harbin Tom Sugita

John Agsalud, an active Democrat who is president of ISDI Technologies, a Hawai'i-based computer-systems integration and consulting firm.

Dan Berman, a retired teacher who is president of the East-West Center association and president of his community association at La'ie Point.

Bev Harbin, small business advocate with the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i and a board member of the Kaka'ako Improvement Association.

Tom Sugita, "semi-retired" executive and vice-chairman of the state Civil Service Commission. An active tennis player, Tom is busy with scouting, the Navy League and his own inquiries into government contracting improprieties.
