Hilo hoops team wins on road, 82-64

Ryan Abrahams scored 20 points and dished eight assists, and Osadonor Esene tallied 14 of his 18 points in the second half as Hawai'i-Hilo beat Angelo State (Texas), 82-64, in the Sheraton-Coyote Classic last night at San Bernardino, Calif.

The Vulcans (7-3) will face either Cal State San Bernardino or UC Santa Cruz in today's tournament final.

Germaine Chase scored 20 points to lead Angelo State, which fell to 5-4.


MEETING

• QB Club: University of Hawai'i President Evan Dobelle is scheduled to speak at tomorrow's Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting.

Saint Louis football coach Delbert Tengan and UH swimming and diving coach Mike Anderson will also speak.

Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Pagoda Hotel, with the program to follow. The public is invited.
