Tonight's Must-See

"From Russia With Love" (1963), 7 p.m., ABC. The second James Bond movie managed to have the best of both worlds. This had a bigger budget than the first and a growing interest in spy gimmicks. Still, this had none of the silliness of later movies. It even had moments of real intensity. A classic one was a long fight between Bond (Sean Connery) and a villain (Robert Shaw). Two alpha males battled in the confines of a train compartment. The result was solid filmmaking

NBA Basketball, 9:30 a.m., NBC. A doubleheader starts with Portland at Utah, then Philadelphia at Milwaukee.
