Brigham Young races past Hawai'i Pacific

The Seasiders raced out to a 41-18 halftime lead.

Salisbury also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds for the Seasiders, who improved to 12-7 overall and 3-3 in league.

Nick Spajic led the Sea Warriors (13-6, 4-3) with 23 points.

Chaminade wins: Albert Powell led five Chaminade players in double figures with 19 points as the Silverswords beat Western New Mexico University 83-81 in a Pac West game at Silver City, N.M.

Chaminade (11-8, 4-4) shot 51 percent from the field. Western New Mexico fell to 1-14, 0-8.

Hilo falls: Brian Cook scored 20 points to lead Montana State Billings (17-3, 7-2) to an 83-74 Pac West win over Hawai'i-Hilo (15-5, 5-3).

• Kailua tackle commits to Utah: Kailua High School offensive tackle Larry So'oalo has accepted a football scholarship to play for the University of Utah, according to Surfrider head coach Darren Johnson.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

• UH to offer free transportation: In preparation for a number of sporting events at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa campus today, the university will be offering continuous shuttle service from several upper campus parking locations to the lower campus athletic facilities from 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m.

Shuttle stops will be well-marked, and will include stops at Dole Street and throughout campus. The last pick-up will be at 10 p.m. at the Krauss Circle/Dole Street stop.

Keli'i Naihe and Scott Salisbury scored 23 points apiece to lead Brigham Young-Hawai'i to an 82-65 men's Pac West basketball win over Hawai'i Pacific at Cannon Activities Center in La'ie.
