Mililani top seed in boys state soccer tournament

Mililani, Baldwin, Kamehameha and Hilo are the Nos. 1-4 seeded teams for the AT&T Wireless Boys State Soccer Tournament Wednesday through Saturday on Maui.

All four teams will receive a first-round bye.

The O'ahu Interscholastic Association will have five representative, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation three, the Maui Interscholastic League two, and the Interscholastic League of Honolulu and Kaua'i Interscholastic Federation one each.

Matches will be played at War Memorial Stadium and Keopuolani Park.

Wednesday
At War Memorial Stadium

    1:30 p.m. — St. Joseph vs. Moanalua
    3:30 p.m. — Kealakehe vs. Kaiser
    5:30 p.m. —ÊKapa'a vs. Campbell
    7:30 p.m. — Seabury Hall vs. Castle

Thursday
At Keopuolani Park

    1:30 p.m. — Kapa'a-Campbell loser vs. Seabury Hall-Castle loser.

At War Memorial Stadium

    1:30 p.m. — Kamehameha vs. Kealakehe-Kaiser winner
    3:30 p.m. — Mililani vs. Kapa'a-Campbell winner
    5:30 p.m. — Hilo vs. Seabury Hall-Castle winner
    7:30 p.m. — Baldwin vs. St. Joseph-Moanalua winner

Friday
At Keopuolani Park

    Matches at 1:30 p.m.; 3:30 p.m.

At War Memorial Stadium

    Semifinals matches at 5:30 p.m.; 7:30 p.m.

Saturday
At War Memorial Stadium

    1:30 p.m. — Seventh Place
    3:30 p.m. — Fifth Place
    5:30 p.m. — Third Place
    7:30 p.m. — Championship

BASEBALL

• Hilo falls: Rob Harrand, Eric Human and David Levy combined on a three-hitter as San Diego State beat Hawai'i-Hilo, 6-0, yesterday at Wong Stadium.

Harrand gave up three hits over seven innings, and Human and Levy each pitched a perfect inning.

Brian Manfred and Chad Redfern drove in two runs apiece for San Diego State.

The Aztecs are 4-1, the Vulcans 1-14-1.

SOFTBALL

• HPU splits: Hawai'i Pacific split a season-opening doubleheader with Augustana (S.D.) yesterday at HPU Windward Field.

Augustana scored all of its runs in the sixth inning to win the first game, 3-2.

Jessica Parra pitched a six-hitter as the Sea Warriors won the second game, 3-2.
