WALTER HARVEY ABRAHAM, 94, of Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i, formerly of San Rafael, Calif., died Feb. 5, 2002. An avid golfer, gardener, and executive retired from Pacific Gas & Electric Co., San Francisco. ROSENDO AGBAYANI, 89, of Hala'ula, Kohala, Hawai'i, died Jan. 29, 2002. Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A retired employee of the former Kohala Sugar Company and member of Kohala Senior Citizens. Survived by sons, Romeo, Eddie and Christopher; daughter, Pacita Acacio; brother, Gerico; sister, Magdalena; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. JOSEPHINE "JO" O. BANTILAN, 68, of Pukalani, Maui, died Feb. 3, 2002. Born in Hana, Maui. A nurse's aide and member of Aoaloha 'O Haupakala and Hula O Keola Ali'i O Ke Kai. Survived by husband, Victor Sr.; sons, Victor, Spencer and Dennis; brother, Clarence Oclinaria; sisters, Victoria Bartolome, Polly "Teri" Plottner and Madeline Bucauto; a grandchild. BROTHER ANTHONY BEYER, 96, a veteran of the Pacific Province of the Society of Mary, died Feb. 3, 2002. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. A professor of history at Chaminade University from 1958 to 1982. Also a clarinetist who later tutored intermediate students in music at St. Louis High School. He retired to Villa St. Joseph in California in 1995. Mass of Resurrection was held Thursday at Villa St. Joseph.
LONGJENO "LONG" D. CANADILLA, 80, of Wahiawa, died Jan. 23, 2002. Born in 'Ewa. Retired from Del Monte Plantation. Survived by wife, Maude; children, Winifred "Winnie" Lee, Eunice Paglinawan, Maxine "Macky" Derige, Nolan Canadilla and Todd Adamski; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. THEODORA VIRGINIA "GINNY" LENNOX, 95, of Kula, Maui, died Jan. 29, 2002. Born in Sydney, Australia. Punahou School graduate and wife of the late forester/businessman Colin Lennox. Noted for work in protection of native Hawaiian plants and cultivation of protea. The protea hybrid "Cloudbank Ginny" was named for her. Survived by niece, Diana Latta; nephew, Duncan Lennox.
