Tube Notes

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

• "Winter Olympics," 4-5 p.m., 6:30-10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.-Midnight, NBC, with a rerun from Midnight-3:30 a.m. Also, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on MSNBC and 1-7 p.m. on CNBC, with reruns from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. on MSNBC. The solo stars get the glory, but pair figure skating offers moments of stunning beauty. Tonight, the pairs have their long programs. Afternoon events are men's singles luge and men's half-pipe snowboarding. Both have their finals tonight. In prime time, women's Alpine skiing and men's 500-meter speed skating plus the pairs figure skating. On cable, MSNBC has women's hockey between Canada and Kazakstan. It also has the biathlon for women (15 km) and men (20 km).

• "Masterpiece Theatre: Love in a Cold Climate," 9 p.m., PBS, concludes next Monday. Two optimistic teens (Rosamund Pike, Elisabeth Dermot-Walsh), look for romance.

OF NOTE

• "Boston Public," 7 p.m., Fox. The principal (Chi McBride) finds out his daughter is dating the possibly crazy son of Meredith (Kathy Baker).
