Services set for Honolulu police CAPT. ALVIN NISHIMURA, 52, the 29-year police veteran and head of its Criminal Intelligence Unit, who lost his more than two-year, much--publicized battle with leukemia Feb. 4. Services will be held Friday. He was born in Honolulu and had worked his way up through the narcotics/vice, internal affairs, sex crimes, criminal investigation and patrol units. He is survived by wife, Cynthia Yip Nishimura; son, Jacy; daughter, Jamie; parents, Frank and Agnes; brother, Stanley; sisters, Jane Umeda and Irene Yoneji.
