What's open/closed for Presidents Day

Here's what will be open or closed Monday, Presidents Day:

GOVERNMENT

Federal offices: Closed.

State offices: Closed.

City, county offices: Closed.

SCHOOLS

Public: Closed.

UH: No classes; offices and Hamilton and Sinclair libraries closed.

PUBLIC SERVICES

Libraries: Most closed today through Monday. (Exceptions are 'Aiea; Hawai'i Kai; Wahiawa; Makawao; Waialua; Kailua, Kona; Kihei; Lahaina; Lana'i; and Princeville. Call those libraries for information.)

TheBus: Operating on the schedule used for Saturdays.

On-street parking: Free, except for metered Kalakaua Avenue spaces adjacent to Kapi'olani Park; holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign; municipal lot meters must be fed.

Traffic: No coning.

Trash: Regular residential and business pickup.

Landfills and convenience centers: Open.

Open Markets: Not operating.

Municipal golf courses: Open.

City recreation centers: Open.

Mail: Post offices closed; no regular residential and business delivery; no mailbox pickups; Express Mail delivered.

Handi-Van: Operating.

Humane Society: Open, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Blood bank: Dillingham center open 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; downtown closed.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Banks/savings and loans: Most closed. (Check separately with "in-store" branches.)

Stock market: Closed.

Credit unions: Most closed.

MUSEUMS/INSTITUTIONS

National Memorial Cemetery (Punchbowl): Open.

Arizona Memorial: Open.

Polynesian Cultural Center: Open.

Contemporary Museum, including grounds, gift shop and cafe: Closed.

Bishop Museum: Open.

Honolulu Zoo: Open.

Japanese Cultural Center: Closed.

Waikiki Aquarium: Open.

Honolulu Academy of Arts: Closed.

Botanical Gardens, including Foster, Ho'omaluhia, Wahiawa and Koko Head: Open.

Lyon Arboretum (UH): Closed.

Hawaii Maritime Center: Open.

U.S. Army Museum: Closed.

Mission Houses Museum: Closed.

'Iolani Palace: Closed.

Queen Emma Summer Palace: Open.

Sea Life Park: Open.

USS Bowfin: Open.

USS Missouri: Open.

Waimea Valley Adventure Park: Open.

Senator Fong's Plantation & Gardens: Open.

Waipahu Cultural Garden Park (and Hawaii's Plantation Village): Closed.
