Small-kid experts to be honored

Do you know a hard-working early childhood professional worthy of the highest praise? If so, you may recognize that person with a nomination for the Early Childhood Professional of the Year Award, given by the Good Beginnings Alliance.

The award is also known as Ho'olaulima No Na Keiki, which translates into "Coming Together for the Sake of the Children," said executive director Liz Chun.

The nonprofit organization wants to celebrate professionals who have positively influenced the healthy development of young children. Nominations are due by Feb. 27. For nomination requirements, to request a nomination form or to get more details, call 531-5502.
