Newlyweds

Shawna Akiko Hirata, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Hirata of Kailua-Kona, and Julian Christopher Johnson, son of Julian Paul Johnson of Sanford, Fla., and Deborah Kay Banninga Johnson of Waipahu, were married Aug. 25 at First Baptist Church of Honolulu. The reception followed at Hale Koa Hotel. The bride (1989 Augusta Preparatory Day School in Georgia, 1994 University of Georgia bachelor's and 2001 University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's), now Shawna Akiko Hirata Johnson, formerly of Honolulu, is a nurse. The groom (1991 Moanalua High, 1999 UH-Manoa bachelor's and 2000 UH-Manoa post-bachelor's certificate), formerly of Honolulu, is a high school band teacher. They live in Kaunakakai.

Caprice L. Munos, daughter of Joseph B. and Gloria M. Munos of Honolulu, and Jon Y. Souza, son of Richard Y. and Phyllis C. Souza of Honolulu, were married Sept. 8 at the chapel at The Willows. The reception followed at the residence of the bride's parents. The bride (Kaimuki High), now Caprice L. Souza, is a preschool teacher. The groom is a graduate of Kalani High. They live in Honolulu.
