THE LEFT LANE
Shades of Apolo

Those wraparound Nike Mojo sunglasses, seen on pitchman Apolo Anton Ohno, the American speed skating sensation, are now available in Hawai'i.

The Nike Mojos are said to provide 51 percent more panoramic vision than conventional curved models and are said to allow clean sight lines from all angles of vision. In addition, a special hydrophobic lens coating is designed to repel sweat and water, and a ventilated nose bridge should reduce slippage and fogging — qualities that should be of interest to Hawai'i's water sports enthusiasts. The glasses come with black or silver frames and gray lenses. Find the shades at Sunglass Huts for $79.
