Weekly Honors

IKAIKA ALAMA-FRANCIS

Kalaheo basketball

Senior forward scored 18 points in a 64-51 OIA semifinal victory over Castle and had 25 points and 19 rebounds in a 61-57 championship win over Mililani.

MAHIE ATAY

Baldwin soccer

Senior goalkeeper had 15 saves in a state semifinal victory over Punahou and had seven saves in a loss to Mililani in the championship game, which went to penalty kicks.

RASHAUN BROADUS

Mililani basketball

Senior guard scored 22 points, including the final six of the game, in a 60-55 OIA semifinal victory over Kaimuki and 25 points in a 61-57 loss to Kalaheo in the championship game.

CARMEN CALPO

Pearl City soccer

Senior forward scored one goal and had one assist in a 3-0 state semifinal victory over Kealakehe and scored two goals in a quarterfinal loss to Punahou that went to penalty kicks.

DC DANIELS

Kalaheo basketball

Senior wing scored 24 points in a 64-51 OIA semifinal victory over Castle and had 19 points in a 61-57 championship win over Mililani.

MA'AFU FINAU

Lahainaluna basketball

Junior scored a game-high 23 points to help the Lunas defeat King Kekaulike 46-36 for the MIL championship.

JOEL BOTELHO, Castle basketball — Senior guard scored 19 of his game-high 21 points during a key stretch in the second and third periods of the Knights OIA third-place victory over Kaimuki.

BRANDON CHU, Maui basketball — Made 11 of 12 free throws and scored 22 points to lead the Sabers to a 64-61 victory over Moloka'i in the MIL tournament.

KAMI KAPAKU, Baldwin soccer — Sophomore forward scored one goal and had one assist in a 3-0 state quarterfinal victory over Kalaheo and scored the Bears' only goal in a loss to Mililani in the championship game, which went to penalty kicks.
