LAURENA M. BARING, also known as LAURENA M. FREITAS and LAURA BARING, died Feb. 11, 2002. Member of Hawaii State Theatre Council, and former KSSK Radio employee. Survived by daughters, Emmie, Liz and Leina; five grandchildren; mother, dotty Kalani; sisters, Bobbie Baclaan and Ana Peterson; brothers, Kalani and Maka Vierra. VICTORIANO "VICTOR" BERGONIA, 64, of Indiana, formerly of Hawai'i, died Feb. 11, 2002. Born in Lihu'e, Kaua'i. Retired from the U.S. Army and a veteran of three tours in Vietnam. Survived by wife, Judy; children, Maria, Rose, Victoria, Martin "Michael" Bergoinia, Nathan "Moki" Ripa and Sabrina, RenaMae, Angela and Gena; 42 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. JACQUI LYNN BLAHAK, 47, of Waimanalo, died Feb. 17, 2002. Born in Oklahoma. A plasterer. Survived by son, James Newbury III; daughter, Crystal Carrasco; two grandchildren; father, Jack Nault; mother, Gladys Nault; brothers, Roger, David and Ronnie Nault and Doug Moore; sister, Terry Taylor. DR. EDWARD DAI TIM CHING, 97, and MARGARET LEE CHING, 89, both of Campbell, Calif., formerly of Hawai'i, died May 29, 2000. Edward was born in Hanapepe, Kaua'i, and was former medical director of Waimano Home. Margaret was born in Honolulu, and was a State of Hawai'i Department of Education teacher and financial consultant. Survived by sons, Cavlin and Curtis; daughter, Carolee Chan; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philomena Church; Mass 10:45 a.m. Casual attire. CAROLYN KAMAWAE CHUN, 71, of Kane'ohe, died Feb. 15, 2002. Born in Honolulu. Retired housekeeping employee. NORMAN MONCRIEFF POOLE, 73, of Pahoa, Hawai'i, died Feb. 18, 2002. Born in Burnaby, Canada, British Columbia. An underwater welder with Marine Construction, superintendent for Flour Daniel's Company, Peter Kewitt & Sons and Hawaii Truck and Trailer and self-employed home builder. He welded the railing around the top of and the flag pole on top of Aloha Tower. Survived by son, Robert; daughter, Barbara Canter; five grandsons; brother, Jack. MARGARITA "MARING" FABIA TOMELDEN, 67, of Pearl City, died Feb. 7, 2002. Born in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. A member of the Urdanetanian Club and Urdaneta Club of Hawaii. Survived by daughters, Judina "Judy" Locquiao, Susan Ranches and Marlene Pollard; sons, Antonio and Samuel Fabia, Peter Tomelden; sister, Benjamina Morales; brothers, Guillermo, Marcelino and Moises Fabia; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
