"Winter Olympics," 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 6:30-10 p.m., and 10:30-11 p.m., NBC; repeating from 12:30-4 a.m. Also, the figure skating "Champions Gala" will rerun from 5-7 a.m. on MSNBC.

The bronze-medal hockey game will be shown in daytime with the gold-medal game coming Sunday.

"CNN Presents: Babies on the Brink," 3 p.m., CNN. This documentary is well crafted and heartbreaking. It digs into ethical dilemmas without solutions. Doctors now can save premature babies who barely weigh a pound. The costs, human and financial, are enormous. This hour shows us good people, great science and steep pain.
