APOLINARIO RAMOS AGLIAM, 85, of Hanama'ulu, Kaua'i, died Feb. 20, 2002. Born in Bacarra, Philippines. A field worker retired from Lihue Plantation. Survived by wife, Crecencia; son, Ernesto; daughter, Julia Cuaresma; three grandchildren. DAVID W. BUNA SR., 76, of Hayward, Calif., died Feb. 2, 2002. Born in Kona, Hawai'i. A retired merchant seaman who worked for Exxon ; a member of the Sailors Union of the Pacific. Survived by sons, David and Melvin; daughters, Cindy Reinstra, Melba Delgadillo and Antoinette Castle; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph, Gilbert, Nick and Walter; sisters, Dora Perez and Irene Yuen. RICHARD CLAYTON CHILLINGWORTH, 82, formerly of Kea'au, Hawai'i, died Feb. 18, 2002, in Hilo. Born in Honolulu. A retired credit consultant. Survived by wife, Hazel; daughters, Barbara Volhein, Kapua Gouveia, Denise Chillingworth and Enzel Bowler; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Private service held. GENEVIEVE MARGARET COLEMAN, 84, of Wahiawa, died Jan. 31, 2002. Born in Big Falls, Wis. A teacher retired from Leilehua High School. IRENE MAY DEMPSEY, 73, of Wailea, Maui, died Feb. 18, 2002. Born in Artesia, Calif. A homemaker and member of Wailea Golf Club. Survived by husband, Joseph; daughter, Cindy Irwin; stepsons, Daryl, Jay and Jack Dempsey; brothers, Ted, Stanley and Tom Hettinga; five grandchildren. LEO FORTESS, 84, of Kane'ohe, died Feb. 17, 2002. Born in Chicago. A proponent of Pacific island cultures, past president of the Hawaii Anthropological Society and life member of the Bishop Museum; partly responsible for the first use of the carbon-14 archaeological dating technique in the Pacific. Survived by wife, Lillian; son, Eric; daughter, Karel Fortess Cornwell; four grandchildren. Private service. J. ALBERT GNAZZO, 88, of Lawa'i, Kaua'i, died Feb. 18, 2002. Born in Plainville, Conn. Retired as general manager of General Electric in Connecticut. LESLIE "BILL" HALEY, 64, of Kapolei, died Feb. 20, 2002. Born in Piggott, Ark. A command sergeant retired from the U.S. Army. MAMORU "MAMO" MORITA, 81, of Honolulu, died Feb. 16, 2002. Born in Kaumana (4 Miles), South Hilo, Hawai'i. A retired Army sergeant first class who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team; also retired as a medical records clerk with Kaiser Permanente Medical Care. Survived by son, Tad; daughters, Marylyn Kaahanui and Ann Morita-Yamaato; five grandchildren; brother, Yuzuru; sisters, June Ohara, Ann Kuwatani and Margaret Ono. Private service held. WILLIAM "BILLY" IKAIKA NAHINU, 61, of Denver, Colo., died Feb. 12, 2002. Born in Honolulu. Survived by wife, Camille; sons, Shane Tanioka, Aaron Leleiohoku Panoke and Scotty Kapahuonaalii Collins; daughters, Summer Kealaonalei Collins and Ashley Mahealani Panoke; two grandchildren; mother, Ramona Kalei Panoke; brothers, Herbert Panoke, Harlon Dean, Paul Dean and John Pailaka Dean; hanai brother, Keone Soares.
