Step up to help babies' health

By Zenaida Serrano Espanol

At the 32nd annual WalkAmerica, to be held 6:30 a.m. April 20 in Kapi'olani Park, participants can help improve the health of babies while doing something good for themselves at the same time. The event includes a six-mile walk, followed by food, entertainment and keiki activities.

"It's the March of Dimes' biggest fund-raiser nationwide," said Carmella Hernandez, state director of the March of Dimes Hawai'i Chapter. Proceeds will be used to prevent birth defects and infant mortality through research, community services, education and advocacy. Call 973-2155 for more information or to register.
