UH-Hilo wins 17th, 75-68 over BYUH

David LaQua scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Scott Prather chipped in with 17 points and five assists to lead the University of Hawai'i-Hilo over Brig-ham Young-Hawai'i, 75-68, last night at Hilo's Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

Alexus Foyle had a game-high 19 points and Scott Salisbury added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Seasiders.

BYUH put up 27 3-pointers in the loss, converting on six.

Hawai'i-Hilo improves to 17-8, 7-6 in the PacWest; Brigham Young-Hawai'i falls to 16-9, 7-5.

Chaminade 76, Hawai'i Pacific 63: Kashif Reyes scored a game-high 22 points for the Silverswords in their win over the Sea Warriors last night at McCabe Gym.

Igor Beljanski contributed 12 points and Jaborri Thomas 11 for Chaminade (16-9, 8-5 PacWest).

Leandro Maruoka scored 12 points and John Avilla and Dragan Karanovic had 11 each for the Sea Warriors (17-7, 8-4).

The Silverswords shot 56 percent from the field (28 for 50).
