Anthony Carter may be an NBA player now, but he's still dishing out assists for the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team.
The Anthony "A.C." Carter Men's Basketball Endowed Scholarship Fund was established yesterday with a $100,000 donation to UH from Carter, who is currently a member of the Miami Heat.
"I just wanted to find a way to show my appreciation for all of the opportunities UH gave to me," said Carter, UH's star guard from 1996-98.
Prior to this season, Carter signed a three-year contract worth around $12 million.
"It's not something he had to do," UH head coach Riley Wallace said. "But the fact that he did shows what kind of person he is."
