The blaze at 1511 Adelaide St. was called in at about 3:30 p.m. Nine fire companies responded, but the home was fully ablaze when the first engine arrived.

The two-story home housed several families, including the woman in her mid-80s. Her niece's husband, Rogelio Pascua, identified the victim as Catalina Oasay.

Firefighters searched the home after the fire was brought under control and found Oasay's body in a room on the second floor.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
