THE LEFT LANE
Fantasy dating

The Dating Game Online, another TV game show that has made its way to the Web, lets you choose what you want to look like and hide behind the anonymity of a chosen love handle.

Two to four players can be in the game at a time. The "chooser" gets to ask 10 questions and award a heart point for the best response. The contestant with the most points wins.

Players can take the conversation to a chatroom if they click. Check it out at datinggame.station.sony.com.

Hawaiian 101

Pretty much everyone in the Islands knows a few words of Hawaiian. But for most of us, it's rare to have the opportunity to delve more deeply into the language. Now, Star of the Sea School plans to offer an innovative eight-hour introduction to the language. It follows a successful Hawaiiana series.

The course, from 8 a.m. to noon March 9 and 16 at the school, will be taught by Star of the Sea's Hawaiian language instructor Keith Haugen, who also is a musician, composer and radio host. Cost is $30; parking is free. Registration: 734-0208. Maikai!
