Take the pain out of icing cakes and pastries
If you tend to make a mess when applying icing, two tips: Fit a pastry bag inside a blender jar or tall glass so it's standing up, then fill it. Better yet, make the icing inside a zip-closure plastic bag, pouring in the sugar and liquid and mushing to mix, then cutting off a corner to make a nozzle.
