Pacific Karting Club clinic set this weekend

The Pacific Karting Club will be host to the third annual Memo Gidley Karting Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday at the overflow parking lot behind Windward Mall.
Gidley, a 31-year-old professional CART racer, drives his kart three to four times a week as part of his training regimen. Participating in clinics is his way of giving back to the karting community that gave him his start.
Started in 1959, Hawai'i's go-cart racing organization boasts about 40 members, ranging in age from 7 to 65. But without a place to drive for the past year, the club uses this event as a way to rev those engines.
Tomorrow's event is geared for kids. The adults play on Sunday. Fee to participate is $25.
