Tuitele, Wong with national team

Advertiser Staff

Hawai'i Pacific volleyball players Nia Tuitele and Kea Wong will train with the USA National Team in Colorado Springs, Colo., from Jan. 28 through mid-April.

They competed with about 250 of the country's top players for a spot on the women's team.

Tuitele, a two-time All-America setter, and Wong, a highly touted defensive specialist, are the first HPU players to be invited to the training facility. University of Hawai'i standouts Robyn Ah Mow and Therese Crawford are also on the team.

Tuitele and Wong were both members of HPU's national championship teams.
