Tote bag sports newspaper look

By Tanya Bricking
Advertiser Staff Writer

You can tote around a one-of-a-kind handbag made of the sports page, the stock quotes or the cover of a magazine with a fashion trend that promises no ink-smudged hands.

A company called Your Sister's Mustache is manufacturing tote bags and belts in a soft, water-resistant laminate made from recycled newspapers, magazines and maps. The handbags are hand-stitched, riveted and strung with chain handles, and cost $24 to $49.

The styles, which range from retro fashion magazines to New York Times sports pages, are featured in this month's Good Housekeeping magazine and can be found on the Web at fashiondig.com.
